He is the founder of 4 companies. Tesla, SpaceX, Solar City & The Boring Company. Robert Downy Jr. Billionaire character Ironman is inspired by Elon Musk.
When he is not launching Rocket’s he is busy building his futuristic electric car company “Tesla”
Recently he launched another startup called Neuralink.
Neuralink will connect human brain with computer interface via Artificial Intelligence.
According to Musk, Neuralink’s goal is to build a “scalable high-bandwidth BMI system”. So far scientists & engineers have replicated three cutting edge innovations.
First is to put ultra thin electrode inside the brain to relay electrical signals between brain and a computer. Second is robotic instrument to carefully implant the electrodes. Third is a tiny chipset to amplify and manipulate the signals.
First tests on humans will be conducted as early as 2020. The goal is to use Neuralink to treat different forms of brain or spine related disorders. For example, paralysed humans can use the implanted device to control phones or computers.
According to Musk, this could eventually lead to the future of “superhuman intelligence”.
Each group of threads could contain 3072 electrodes, distributed across 96 threads.
Musk’s Neuralink startup has also built a neurosurgical robot. This robot is capable of inserting six threads into the brain per minute.
Each thread is smaller than one tenth of human hair and contains 192 electrodes. Each electrode group is encased inside a small implantable device that contains wireless chips measuring 4 x 4 millimetres.
Using Neuralink, user can control smartphone or computer with brain signals.

Currently He is also building a 3D tunnel. More & more level of tunnels to alleviate traffic. Instead of going above the top in case of most modern cities, Elon musk feels it’s better to go below the grow because Flying Cars won’t be an Anxiety saving situation. He started “The Boring Company”. This is what Elon musk’s hobby looks like. Going underground, he can create as many levels as needed to alleviate traffic. He has started this project in LA.
February 6th, 2018: Elon musk launched the world’s most powerful active rocket, catapults his Tesla Car in Space. And vertically lands two of the rocket boosters simultaneously. For most engineers, this extraordinary feat would be it, But for Elon it’s just another day.
He was born June 28, 1971, to Maye Musk & Errol Musk in Pretoria, South Africa. His mother was and still is a model. His father is an electromagnetic engineer, pilot & sailor. He also has younger brother & sister.
At age 9, he turned to encyclopaedia when he had no more books to read. At age 10, he taught himself programming. At age 12, he created a video game called Blastar & sold it to a magazine for $500.
At age 17, Elon left South Africa to attend Queen’s university in Ontario, Canada. This was in part to avoid South African military as required after high school.
In 1999, he & his brother Kimbal sold their software company which provided city business guides to newspaper called Zip2.
In February 1999, Zip2 was sold to Compaq for $307 million in cash & 34 million in stock options. 24 years old, with 7% of sale, Elon Musk just made $22 million.
At age 27, he invested his $22 million into X.com, company which was going to revolutionise how we transfer money. A company now known as paypal.com. When eBay acquired paypal.com Musk made $165 million.
Without taking a break, he started SpaceX or Space Exploration Technologies Corporation in 2002 with a mission to enable people to live on other planets. He says, “Life is got to be about more than just solving problems. You want to get up in the morning and say, Yes, I am looking forward to that thing happening.”
Two years later in 2004 created Electric Car Company called Tesla. Tesla was the first car company to have gone public since Ford in 1956.
In 2006, he conceptualised & funded Solar City which was then run by his cousins. In less than 8 years, Solar City was the second largest provider of Solar Tech in the US.
In 2008, company was awarded a contract for Cargo Transportation to International Space Station by NASA and in 2012, Space X did just that. Falcon 9 contain half a ton of Cargo for Astronauts onboard made a history as first private company to send a rocket to ISS. Since then SpaceX has launched 60 more rockets privately & commercially.
He is planning first moon journey by humans since 1972 with billionaire passenger Yusaku Maezawa. Musk’s ultimate plan to reach & colonise mars which he says could happen as soon as 2024.
Elon has Bipolar Disorder. Compared to most people who spend their life gaining sympathy for their condition, Elon uses this to his advantage. He doesn’t spend even a second criticising or feeling sad for himself. He has great high’s & terrible low’s. These are signature characterises of Bipolar Disorder. But he manages those while working 15 hour a day.
Elon Musk says, Degree is not necessary. Look at Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Larry Ellison. They don’t have any Degree’s but still if you could hire them, you would.
Musk also started Ad Astra, a not-for-profit school, after pulling all of his sons out of Los Angeles private schools. He even hired one of the teachers, Joshua Dahn, to run Ad Astra. Ad Astra opened quietly on SpaceX’s campus in Hawthorne, California in 2014.
Ad Astra now has 30 students aged 7 to 14. The kids work in teams and learn about non-traditional topics like Robotics, Artificial Intelligence. Everything about Ad Astra is non conventional, there are no grades, also admission process is a secret. According to Ars, approximately 400 families last year applied for just 12 open spots at Musk’s school
